Recently, scientists have made a survey about young adults walking habits.
The survey shows that a quarter of young adults aged between 18 and 24 walk no more than
fifteen minutes a day. Many people think technology development is keeping them from walking
while some young people think they are not willing to walk if there is nobody to walk with. For
some young people, they are too busy working or studying to walk. The air pollution is another
reason why they do not want to walk.
Based on what is surveyed, experts suggest walking more every day instead of taking the car
or bus all the time. Walking with friends, classmates or workmates to school or to work is also
encouraged. Moreover, it will be better for people to have an extra 20-minute walk every day,
which is believed to help reduce the risk of many diseases, including heart disease.
Just remember: the more you walk, the healthier you will be.
